Bhimsain
Bhimsain (1936-2018) is the founder of Climb Films. Winner of a whopping 16 President’s National Awards and 8 International awards besides 100s others, he is also India’s animation pioneer who gave us the iconic, inimitable animated short ‘Ek anek ekta’ short film with the indelible song ek-chidiya-anek-chidiya.
Bhimsain is also one of the avant-garde filmmakers of the Parallel Cinema movement of the 70s in India with successful films like ‘Gharaonda’ (Amol Palekar, Zarina Wahab), Dooriyan (Uttam Kumar, Sharmila Tagore) and many other works etched in the annals of Indian cinema.
